The Winter 2011 issue of Mountain Sport + Living just dropped and I am so very pleased to report that this image of Jared Allen just outside the boundary ropes of Snowbasin, UT has finally found a proper double truck love filled home.  This was the first ski image that I shot where the vision I had, the light, the snow and the weather all aligned in perfect sync.  It’s a rare occurrence that everything you see in your mind’s eye actually come together in reality as most of what photographers actually do is solve problems for the variables the conspire against us.  When things do magically coalesce the pressure is really on not to become the chaos variable myself.  Luckily on this day I was able to push all the right buttons and twist all the correct dials at the proper place and time.
